Our shelf brackets are hand-forged from solid
wrought iron by skilled blacksmiths using old-world artisan techniques. Unlike
cast iron brackets that can be brittle, or stamped sheet metal brackets that
flex under load, hand-forged wrought iron is dense, strong, and built to last
for decades. Each bracket carries natural surface variations from the forging
process, slight texture differences and irregularities that give every piece
its authentic, one-of-a-kind rustic character.

All three series are hand-forged from the same
high-quality wrought iron, the difference is in the design style. The Farmhouse
Series features a clean, angular profile that suits modern farmhouse and
minimalist rustic interiors. The Barn House Series has a slightly heavier, more
robust silhouette inspired by traditional barn construction, ideal for
industrial and country-style spaces. The Hacienda Series features a more
refined, decorative profile with subtle curves that complement Spanish
Colonial, Mediterranean, and Southwestern interior styles.

Our hand-forged iron shelf brackets are
heavy-duty by design. Smaller brackets support shelves holding up to 50–75 lbs
per pair when properly anchored into wall studs. Medium brackets support 75–100
lbs per pair. Larger brackets support 100–150 lbs per pair. These ratings apply
when lag screws are used into solid wood studs, drywall anchors alone are not
sufficient for heavy shelf loads. For shelves holding heavy items, we recommend
installing three brackets rather than two for additional safety.

Our shelf brackets are available in Black,
Copper, Bronze, and Natural Iron finishes. Black is the most popular choice, it
provides strong visual contrast against light-colored walls and pairs
beautifully with reclaimed wood, white oak, and whitewashed pine shelves. Copper
adds warmth and works particularly well in kitchen and bathroom settings.
Bronze is a versatile middle-ground that complements both rustic and
transitional interiors. Natural Iron develops a subtle patina over time and is
ideal for industrial loft and authentic farmhouse aesthetics.

The bracket size you need depends on the depth
of your shelf and the weight it will carry. As a general rule, your bracket
should be slightly smaller than the depth of your shelf, the shelf should
extend 1–2 inches beyond the bracket for the best visual proportion and
structural performance. Smaller brackets suit shelves up to 6 inches deep, such
as spice racks, bathroom accent shelves, and entryway key shelves. Medium
brackets are ideal for the most common shelf depth of 8–10 inches, perfect for
kitchen open shelving, bathroom vanities, and bedroom display shelves. Larger
brackets are designed for deep shelves 10–12 inches or more, used in pantries,
garages, and workshop storage where heavy loads are expected. For shelf length,
two brackets are sufficient for shelves up to 36–40 inches. For longer shelves,
add a third bracket at the center to prevent sagging. Always anchor brackets
into wall studs using lag screws for maximum holding strength. If you are

Always locate wall studs using a stud finder
before drilling, brackets must be anchored into studs, not drywall alone. Use
lag screws, not standard wood screws, for maximum holding strength. Pre-drill
pilot holes slightly smaller than your lag screw diameter to prevent the wood
from splitting. Mount the bracket to the wall first, check for level, then
attach your shelf board to the top of the bracket. For shelves longer than 36
inches, use three brackets spaced evenly rather than two to prevent sagging
over time.

Yes. Each bracket comes with the necessary
mounting hardware for standard installation. For heavier shelf loads or
installation into masonry walls such as brick or concrete, we recommend using
appropriate masonry anchors in addition to the included hardware. If you are
mounting into metal studs rather than wood studs, use self-tapping metal screws
