Installed this today on a pair of antique Egyptian door. Very happy with the solid construction. Don't know what gauge the metal is but it's quite thick. No doubt it will perform very well. So happy with it!

It's perfect. Not a wimp latch like from a hardware store. This is a real gate latch. Exactly what I wanted.
